Debut NBA Baller Beats trailer reveals September release date

Majesco has officially pulled the veil off NBA Baller Beats, the only game that combines the basketball and the music/rhythm genre into one. As displayed in the trailer above, players use a real basketball to learn and improve their ball handling skills, all to the rhythm of music. Imagine Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but with a basketball instead of a musical instrument. We know your mother always told you not to play in the house, but NBA Baller Beats beckons you to do just that. Along with the debut trailer, Majesco also announced 15 of the game’s 30 music tracks which includes songs from popular artists such as Kanye West, Them Crooked Vultures, LMFAO, Run DMC, Queen, Skillrex, Common, and The Gorillaz. Check out the full list of tracks revealed from E3 in the press release below.

New NBA Baller Beats information

Yesterday Majesco revealed more information regarding NBA Baller Beats.  For one thing the ball that will be shipped with the game is going to be made by Spalding, which is great news for basketball fans since they know how great their balls can be. New information was also provided regarding the in-game rewards. They have partnered with Panini America to feature Panini’s 2012 NBA Hoops trading cards as the rewards. Plus there will still be new songs, difficulty levels, and over 100 posters to unlock too. These slight updates make the wait until E3 where we will see gameplay for the first time slightly more bearable.

NBA Baller Beats has new information

When NBA Baller Beats was announced not too long ago it was met with scorn all over the internet. We however at Xbox Kinect Fans remained hopeful, and the new information available might just bring to some people back onto our side. For instance, the Chief Marketing Officer, Christina Glorioso, said that after numerous tests it is possible to play the game in a carpeted room (but not quite on a shag rugs) which should calm some players fears. The game will also ship with a basketball for those that don’t own one, although they noted that if the player wants something lighter, smaller, or bouncier they can always swap it out, as long as it is the general size and shape of a basketball and around the same color. Hopefully this new information will convince some people to at least give the game a chance.

Majesco announces NBA Baller Beats

Earlier today, Majesco Entertainment Company announced NBA Baller Beats exclusively for Kinect and Xbox 360. Developed by HB Studios, the game focuses on players learning how to master “mad ball handling skills with a real basketball” to the beat of an eclectic soundtrack, which should make for some interesting scenarios. The soundtrack will feature artists such as Run DMC, Kanye West, Them Crooked Vultures, and many more. Players can also unlock additional songs, difficulty levels, and over 100 posters and trading cards showcasing NBA players’ greatest moves. The first gameplay will be shown at E3 this year before it heads to basketball camps across the country over the summer. We’re looking forward to seeing what the game looks like in action. NBA Baller Beats will hit shelves this fall.
