The biggest gaming event of the year has officially kicked off, and the first day of E3 2012 has already come to a close. It’s hard to believe how quickly this week goes by every year. Regardless, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Nintendo and Sony have all held their press conferences and brought out their biggest guns to show off just what their vision for the next year or so of gaming looks like. As always, the forums and social media are ablaze with reactions of excitement, disappointment, fan boy bliss, and everything in between. Here are my thoughts on what we we’ve seen so far.
FIFA 13 Archive
Football and American Football; two of the biggest sports in the world, and from EA these sports spawn two of the biggest sports titles with Kinect functionality. FIFA 13 and Madden NFL 13 are coming with Kinect voice commands and are coming out in September and August 28th respectively. Both are used in very similar ways – both allow you to issue commands to your teams and adjust tactics through the use of your voice. FIFA 13 takes things a little further and will pick up and penalize gamers who swear or curse during a referees decision, which is a beautiful touch that speaks volumes about footballers and gamers alike. Check out the conference footage of both below.
