Rumor: Microsoft to track your fitness activity with Kinect Play Fit

TheVerge.Com is reporting that Microsoft will soon unveil Kinect Play Fit, new software that will be built into the Xbox 360 dashboard that will track your exercise and workout activities across appropriate fitness themed Kinect titles. Additionally, Microsoft will release a heart rate monitor accessory called “Joule” that will work across multiple Kinect titles that will allow you to track your own vitals and make sure they’re in line with your weight loss, strength training, or cross-fitness goals. While there are no indications as to when the Kinect Play Fit update will go live (and if it will cost money), or when the Joule accessory will ship, we expect to hear Microsoft detail the whole shebang at E3 which is now just a few weeks away. Stay tuned fitness freaks.
