Microsoft hiring for Xbox Skype

When Microsoft acquired Skype last year, we all knew what was coming: Xbox integration and Kinect support. While things are still pretty quiet on the details of what will be included, GamesIndustry.biz has uncovered a job opening on Microsoft’s website.

The job opening is for a Software Development Engineer in the London, UK offices and requires a “strong technical background developing client and/or embedded software”. The job listing specifically mentions Xbox as the platform but no details on whether it will be integrated with Kinect or be a standalone service.

The standard voice chat on Xbox has improved over recent years but still could be greatly improved upon. A clearer and better voice service from Skype on Xbox Live is something that will definitely be appreciated by everyone.
