GameSpot had the opportunity to talk to Epic Games’ Design Director Cliff Bleszinski at PAX East this weekend, who went on record to talk about Gears of War: Exile. The game (which was never officially announced) was rumored to be a new entry in the Gears of War franchise, that would play as a Kinect enabled on-rails shooter. While CliffyB did indeed confirm that a game called Gears of War: Exile existed at one point, he also confirmed our greatest fear; That the game has been canceled. The news will certainly bring sorrow to fans of the Gears of War franchise and Kinect alike, but at least the suspense of waiting for an announcement is over and we can move on. Epic’s most recent release Gears of War 3, is available exclusively for Xbox 360.
