CES video shows off Happy Action Theater and more

Major Nelson took some time at CES to do a couple of interviews and sneak peeks with some of the upcoming games on the Xbox, including Kinect titles Kinect Star Wars, Happy Action Theater, and Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure. The Kinect Star Wars portion kicks off by announcing that the game will be able to be played completely in 3D for those with the capability. It also shows off some of the pod racing, talks about a tie-in with the upcoming Star Wars 3D re-release, and briefly discusses some of the sweet Jedi moves you’ll be able to do.

Happy Action Theater is up next, featuring a quick look at some of the 18 different minigames. The best part of this segment is the guy talking – while talking about how the game supports up to 6 people he announces “You can even get the dog in there and play if you want!” We’re still not completely sure what the deal is with this game, but it looks pretty interesting.

Rounding out the Kinect portion of the video is a look at the upcoming Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure. The game is made up of minigames in which you’ll interact with characters from The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Toy Story 3, and Cars 2. Supposedly they worked closely with the Pixar folks during the development of this game, so it should be at least worth a look.

This is a pretty good look at the Kinect games that Microsoft is going to be pushing over the next few months, and they definitely seem to be aiming towards a more casual crowd. It will be interesting to see what else they have up their sleeves for some of the upcoming conferences like PAX East and E3. Take a look after the break for some great footage of these games.
