Todd's gaming career started when he got his first 8 bit NES for his fifth birthday. He has loved video games from up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-B-A-start, to the first time he found out Samus Aran was a girl, to freaking out when Psycho Mantis knew he liked Castlevania, to begging Master Chief to turn around so he could see his face. He cried when Aeris died, teared up at the end of Lunar: SSS and Lunar: EB, can quote Castlevania: Symphony of the Night verbatim, and recruited all 108 Stars of Destiny.

Participate in ‘Kinect for Xbox 360 Super Sunday Challenge’ with NFL Play 60 and Drew Brees

This Super Bowl Sunday, Drew Brees and NFL Play 60 have teamed up with Xbox and Kinect to host the first ever ”Kinect for Xbox 360 Super Sunday Challenge”. The groups are challenging everyone to “participate in a total of 60 minutes of controller-free active fun with Kinect for Xbox 360 on Sunday before or after the Super Bowl”.

Brees had this to say about the event. ”As a father of two, I appreciate the importance of making sure kids stay active, that’s why I’ve embraced the challenge of making this ‘The Most Active Super Bowl Sunday Ever’; I’ll be leading the effort by spreading the message and challenging families to get in 60 active minutes this Sunday. Playing Kinect for Xbox 360 is a fun way to achieve this goal, so join me in embracing this challenge by posting your Kinect photos and videos on the Xbox Facebook and Twitter pages.”

In addition to Brees’ comments, Yusuf Mehdi, chief marketing officer of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business added, ”Weather and daylight can limit how long kids can play outdoors safely, but with Kinect for Xbox 360, your body is the controller and our games get kids kicking, jumping and running right in their living rooms. As families gather indoors for their parties this Sunday, Kinect for Xbox 360 is a great game-day activity to get 60 minutes of active fun.”

NFL Play 6o encourages kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to combat obesity. The NFL views a partnership with Xbox and Kinect as natural especially when there are times when kids might not be able to get out and play and can still stay active indoors with their Kinect.

“Kids have so many great entertainment options, but Kinect for Xbox 360 is one that gets them off the couch to play,” said Brian Rolapp, chief operating officer of NFL Media. “It aligns with what NFL PLAY 60 is all about — developing innovative, fun ways to keep kids active.”
